I work for Durham Bookcases, my family’s unfinished furniture store in downtown Durham, NC. In the two years i’ve been here i’ve done everything from building furniture, programming, writing, design,  and deliveries. Durham Bookcases is an unfinished furniture store located on Duke street in Durham, NC. We have been building unfinished and custom furniture since 1995 and specialize in bookcases (our bread and butter), entertainment centers, home office furniture, bedroom furniture, and other storage units.

This blog is about different aspects of being a Durham, NC furniture store and manufacturer. Hopefully posts will include projects we’re working on, tips on buying furniture, laying out a room, and who knows what else. There is so much that goes into being a furniture store that i never would have thought of before working here. And that is what we hope to talk about.
